Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and its comrades in the Montana Freedom Caucus are attacking Republicans who voted to reauthorize a program that provides healthcare to the working poor and the disabled.  But if support for Medicaid expansion merits censure, why hasn’t AFP attacked Governor Gianforte and President Trump, both of whom support the program? State Senator (and John Birch Society organizer) Theresa Manzella and MT GOP functionary Bill Lussenheide would have you believe that a bill I sponsored during the 2023 legislative session was designed to allow noncitizens to vote in Montana elections.
